Bryn has been part of our athlete team since 2014, showing his eye for creative photos and riding. He has been travelling overseas to compete in the Freeride World Qualifiers in New Zealand and here in Canada. He is always up for adventuring to remote backcountry cabins or building hits right under the Stoke Chair. Self-titled as the Team Gypsy, Bryn is always on the move to hunt for the best snow conditions at any time of year- from Northern Canada, to New Zealand, to deep in the Interior backcountry.
Bryn was chosen to locally represent Mountain Hardwear, so has been busy test riding their outerwear this season too.
I was born not far from Revelstoke in The Interior of BC, which means one thing, deep snow. I have been snowboarding since before I could even afford a snowboard and would stand on a plastic toboggan holding onto the tow rope. I moved to Revelstoke after University and got properly ‘Revelstuck’ (caution, it’s a real thing!)- usually taking winters off to focus on my snowboarding progression and general ridiculousness.
Always the positive face of snowboarding, you can usually find me throwing up high fives in the lift lines, or bombing under the chair getting you stoked for your next lap. Occasionally rappelling into lines in the backcountry. Becoming a sponsored rider has been my dream since I was a wee lad frolicking in the champagne powder. I draw inspiration from my everyday riding crew, The Free Spirit Sports team, Pow Town Productions crew, and new and old friends. I always try to be creative in my riding shots, from dramatic landscapes to shots that make you say “how did you get there?”
